AFC Championship: Chiefs vs. Titans

Last week’s NFL playoff divisional round was nothing short of spectacular. After a rocky start chock-full of dropped passes, turnovers and blown coverage, the Chiefs fell behind early – three touchdowns and a field goal in the first quarter! The second quarter was a different story. Patrick Mahomes fired back by throwing four touchdowns and tying an NFL record. First to Damien Williams, then to Travis Kelce, Travis Kelce, and Travis Kelce! The momentum from the second quarter continued into the second half as the Chiefs proceeded to steamroll the Texans with a final score of Chiefs 51 – Titans 31.

Now we are once again hosting the AFC Championship game. It’s not the New England Patriots we’re facing today but the team that defeated them in the wildcard round – the Tennessee Titans. The Titans have been playing well ever since Ryan Tannehill has been at the helm, defeating us in week 10 (35 – 32), beating the Patriots, and taking down the number one seed Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round. However, this is not the same defense that the Titans faced in week 10. Our boys have been playing lights out ever since that Titans loss. In fact we haven’t lost a game since that day in Tennessee. Derrick Henry is having a record-breaking year, but I believe today he gets shutdown.

Let’s talk Chiefs stack!

Patrick Mahomes (7700) – he may be coming in around 50% owned on DraftKings, but he is a must-start. He is the only quarterback on the slate that can truly break it and I believe he will. Look for Mahomes to come out firing. As we witnessed last week, our boys play best at a fast pace and I foresee this being the game plan today.

Tyreek Hill (7200) – with Kelce having a career day, the cheetah was relatively quiet. Tyreek torched the Titans secondary in week 10 and I see it happening again today.

Damien Williams (7000) – it’s going to be difficult to afford all the Chiefs studs this week, but try to squeeze in Damien Williams. He is so involved in the passing game that he is virtually a must-start. There are a lot of ways for this man to score.

Travis Kelce (7100) – always play Kelce.

Go Chiefs!!
